Moldovan government to organise events related to Independence Day

Chisinau, 19 August /MOLDPRES/ – The 26 years of independence of the Republic of Moldova will be marked on 27 August 2017 through a series of cultural and artistic events organised in Chisinau and in the country's districts simultaneously, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Traditionally, the feast will start with flower laying at the monument of Stefan cel Mare si Sfint (the Stephen the Great and Holy) and at the Memorial Complex Maica Indurerata (the Mother in Grief).
In the capital centre, on the Grand National Assembly Square (PMAN), there will be a vast cultural-artistic program, supported by folk music performers, folk groups and folk ensembles, collective folk dances: Joc, Martisor, Fluieras, Big Jazz Orchestra, Orchestra of Brothers Advahov and other artistic groups will perform on stage. The concert will end with a light music recital by local and foreign performers.
Also, twenty amateur artistic collectives will scroll in a parade of the folk clothes wearing, presenting the variety of the national folk costume, and the folk craftsmen will exhibit their creations at a fair.
