Moldovan foreign ministry issues travel alert to Republic of Portugal

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/ – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova informs the citizens who are in, transit through or want to travel to the Portuguese Republic that the Portuguese Government declared preventively a state of calamity on 18-22 August 2017, in around 155 localities in the central and northern part of Portugal due to the increased risks of bonfires, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

It is advisable to avoid displacements in affected areas. In emergency situations, the Portuguese civil protection authorities can be contacted at the telephone number +351926768743, as well as on the single emergency telephone – 112.
