National Army servicemen to represent Moldova at military parade in Kiev

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/- A National Army contingent will attend military parade in Kiev on 24 August. It is organized by the authorities of Ukraine on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of independence. Attending the event will be about 4.5 thousand soldiers.
According to the Defense Ministry’s public relations service, at the event Moldova will be represented by a platoon consisting of 29 soldiers from the 22nd peacekeeping battalion.
On 24 August 2017, Moldovan officers and non-commissioned officers will march alongside the military contingents from 10 states, nine of which are NATO member states.
The National Army group will be led by Major Ianăc Deli, commander of Battalion 22, and the state flag will be held at Kiev parade by Sergeant Igor Cricicovschi.
Moldova participates for the first time in the military parade in Ukraine. Previously, the National Army servicemen attended military parades in Romania, France etc.
