Deputy prime minister meets with head of OSCE Mission to Moldova

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister, Gheorghe Balan, had a meeting with the head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Ambassador Michael Scanlan, today, the office for reintegration policies’ press service has reported.

During the meeting, the current topics on the Transnistrian settlement talks, developments in this respect and current situation in the Security Zone (ZS) were addressed.

It was also referred to the importance of ensuring continuity of format 5+2 negotiations, intensifying the dialogue at the level of the political representatives of Chisinau and Tiraspol, as well as boosting work within the sectorial working groups to promote confidence-building measures between population on both banks of the Dniester river.

In the context, the Deputy Prime Minister reiterated the opening of the Moldovan authorities in order to identify positive solutions to the agenda issues.
