Moldovan deputy foreign minister receives head of EU border assistance mission

Chisinau, 22 August /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Lilian Darii, received the Head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission (EUBAM), Ambassador Andrew Tesoriere, today, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

The interlocutors made an exchange of views on the joint control at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing point Pervomaisk – Kuchurgan.

In this context, Deputy Minister Darii expressed gratitude for the EUBAM’s assistance and expertise during the implementation of the joint control along the central segment of the Moldovan – Ukrainian state border. Especially, the official referred to the importance of the support from EUBAM in conducting the public information campaign for citizens crossing the state border on that crossing point.
