Kiev hosts trilateral consultations of Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine on European integration

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari participated in the Georgia-Moldova-Ukraine trilateral consultations in the field of European integration held in Kiev today, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
Deputy Prime Minister Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze and Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin participated on behalf of Ukraine, and from Georgia – Victor Dolidze, State Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration, and Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, Deputy Foreign Minister.
The agenda of the talks included the exchange of experience in the implementation of the Association Agreements with the EU (Moldova will mark 3 years of the Agreement on 01 September 2017), within which the Republic of Moldova has managed to establish the institutional framework for the Agreement functioning. Leading to positive social outcomes – including visa liberalization with the EU, increased mobility for academia, culture and young people in Moldova, capitalizing on the benefits of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA).
The consultations also focused on the objectives and priorities of the three Eastern Partnership countries in the context of the Summit in November 2017. Deputy Minister Daniela Morari also participated in a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian civil society, political scientists and experts on European integration.
