Moldovan speaker congratulates people of Ukraine with Independence Day

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ – Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu handed over to his Ukrainian counterpart, Andriy Parubiy, congratulations on occasion of the 26th anniversary of the proclamation of independence of Ukraine, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
"On behalf of the Moldovan Parliament and my staff, I am very pleased to address to you and to all the Ukrainian people the most sincere congratulations, wishes for welfare and peace on the occasion of the National Day of Ukraine – the Independence Day. I express my confidence that our common goal of European integration will contribute to the constant consolidation of the fruitful partnership between Moldova and Ukraine for the benefit of both peoples," states the letter to the President of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine.
Ukraine adopted the Declaration of Independence from the USSR on 24 August 1991.
