National book publishing contest issue 2018 starts activity in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ – The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research initiated the collection of offers under the National Book Publishing Program-2018. The competition is organized in accordance with the Regulation on selection, editing and acquisition of the national book provided from the state budget means, approved by a Government Decision in 2013.

The education, culture and research ministry’s press service has announced today, that the interested publishers would submit their participation files by 30 September 2017.

Interviewed by the agency, senior consultant in the Cultural Heritage Directorate of the above-mentioned ministry, Ecaterina Rudakov, mentioned that a priority of the National Book Publishing Program-2018 has been to promote the image of Moldova.

Among these works are the ones published in the perspective of Moldova's participation in international book fairs, bilingual, trilingual edition or country-edition, papers or editions in English, German and French, which present/contain performances in various areas of the social- (text, concept, structure, images, design) and high-profile printing (in any language), etc., in the editorial and editorial books of Moldova.

At the same time, the cultural utility works will be accepted for public libraries, which will include the capitalization of the literary, cultural, scientific heritage, the recent history of Moldova (the recent 100 years), the literary, cultural and scientific works of the contemporary authors in their domains, as well as the quality creations of the young writers, artists, researchers and others.

There were selected 71 titles as part of the national book editing program in 2016. It was allocated about MDL 3 million for their publishing. There is reserved around MDL 6 million for the National Book Publishing Program-2018, including translation.
