Meteorologists issue yellow code of heat in Moldova

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/- The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) issued a yellow code of hot weather on 26 August – 1 September.
According to meteorologists, on 26-27 August the maximum air temperature will reach + 33-35 degrees. Until 1 September there will be an exceptional fire danger over the territory.
According to the SHS data, minimum temperatures up to +10ºC are forecasted for the following days, at night in the north of Moldova, and up to +35ºC during the day in the south.
During the heat, physicians recommend limiting the duration of walks and sunbathing from 10.00-18.00, intense physical effort, wearing lightweight natural hair clothes, long sleeves, and head caps with hoods and hats. Also, it is recommended to consume an average of 2-3 litres of cold water, warm teas, fresh fruit/vegetables, avoiding alcoholic beverages and containing caffeine.
