Moldovan speaker - every year we become stronger, better, more accomplished

Chisinau, 27 August /MOLDPRES/- Moldova marks the 26th anniversary of independence today, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The program of events on Independence Day has traditionally started with flowers laid at the monument Stefan cel Mare and Grieving Mother monument. Attending the event were Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, President Igor Dodon, Prime Minister Pavel Filip, MPs, ministers, diplomats, culture and art people, other officials, as well as residents of the capital.
“Congratulations to citizens and all those who really believe in Moldova. Every year the history of Moldova is written and we become stronger, better, more accomplished. We still have a lot to do, and this is the mission of the authorities”, Candu said.
The speaker expressed gratitude to all those who contributed for Moldova to become an independent state.
The Declaration of Independence of Moldova was adopted by the parliament on 27 August 1991.
