Moldovan prosecutors conduct searches at Pro-Imobil company

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/- Prosecutors conduct searches at the headquarters of Pro-Imobil company, in a file on tax evasion in especially large amounts. The company’s leadership is suspected to have damaged the state budget by over 5 million lei.
The information was confirmed to the agency by Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes Vitalie Busuioc. He said that searches are currently taking place at the headquarters of the company, at homes of decision-makers and in their cars.
“According to the investigation, many sales agents are operating informally at the enterprise, the undeclared average wage amounting to over 2,000 euros a month per person, but three, four or five thousand lei are indicated in the accounting documents”, Busuioc said.
At the same time, it has been set that receipts for services rendered are made in foreign currency without being accounted for. Some of the real estate transactions are recorded on the names of the sales agents or on behalf of other persons acting on the indication and in the interest of the decision-makers within Pro-Imobil Grup company, and subsequently sold, being obtained other undeclared revenues.
