Moldovan deputy prime minister receives ambassador of Russia to Chisinau

Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister, Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, received today the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Moldova, Farit Mukhametshin, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
There were discussed the current situation and the perspectives of bilateral political dialogue, during the meeting.
In the context of addressing the issue of the Russian military presence on the territory of Moldova, Minister Galbur reconfirmed Moldova's intention to promote the inclusion on the agenda of the 72nd session of the Uited Nation’s General Assembly of an additional subject, entitled: The complete withdrawal of foreign military forces from the territory of the Republic Moldova. Andrei Galbur pointed out that that initiative has not aimed to withdraw the Russian troops being part of the trilateral peacekeeping force operating within the Security Zone (ZS) in the Transnistrian region.
There were addressed several issues related to the promotion of the Transnistrian settlement process, in similar context.
