Trolley-buses, buses’ number to be increased circulating in Chisinau

Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ – The number of transport units on the routes in Moldovan capital will be increased starting with Friday, 01 September, the Chisinau City Hall announced today.

The decision was taken by the municipal undertakings: Regia Transport Electric Chisinau and Parcul Urban de Autobuze.

Interviewed by the agency, director of the specified unit, Gheorghe Morgoci, specified that the number of trolley-buses would be increased due to the increase of the passenger flow with the return of pupils and students to schooling and studies, as well as of many people from holidays.

"There will be 302 trolley-buses in the capital, by 34 units more than in summer. Out of the total number of trolley-buses, over 200 are new. We decided to increase their number because the statistics show that the passenger flow is increasing during this period as the school year begins, the students go to study, and the employees return from their holidays," said Morgoci.

Commencing 01 September, more than 300 trolley-buses and about 100 buses will run daily on the streets of Chisinau.
