Crime situation in suburbs considered at meeting of advisory college near Chisinau territorial office

Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/- An ordinary meeting of the advisory college of the decentralized public services of ministries and other central administrative authorities in the territory took place at the Chisinau territorial office of the State Chancellery on 21 September, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The participants in the meeting discussed the crime situation in the suburbs of the capital and the cooperation between the police structures and local public administration for the purpose of preventing and combating crime. In this regard, they pointed out the effectiveness of some projects “Neighborhood surveillance”, through which residents can support the law enforcement bodies to ensure order and public safety in the community.
Also, the talks focused on the need to renovate several headquarters of police stations in the suburbs of the capital that do not meet the requirements for police officers. In this context, mayors voiced their willingness to contribute to improving working conditions and the need to review some legislative provisions on allocation of premises for the police stations.
At the same time, the discussions focused on the involvement of mayors in boosting the work of administrative committees to combat human trafficking, combat domestic violence and child protection committees and management of urban issues.
