Several air flights detained today due to fog

Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/- Several air flights were detained today, due to dense fog on Chisinau International Airport.

According to the airport information service, due to adverse weather conditions, flights to St. Petersburg, Verona and Rome will take off with a delay of several hours.

At the same time, there are delays of several hours in landing flights in Bucharest, Istanbul, St. Petersburg, Rome and Verona.

However, representatives of Chisinau International Airport noted that due to unfavorable weather conditions, Dublin flight was redirected to Bucharest Airport.

The head of the State Hydrometeorological Service’s weather forecast centre, Ghenadie Rosca, said that fog will disperse completely at noon, when the sun appears. “We are currently analyzing the forecast for the coming days to determine if we have fog during this week”, Rosca said.

According to meteorologists, today the sky is variable. For the next few days, minimum temperatures of up to +7 degrees are forecast at night in the north of the country, and +24 degrees during the day in the south.
