UNICEF provides support to Moldovan State Chancellery to promote national policies in children's rights protection

Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/ – The National Council for Child Rights Protection (CNPDC) benefits from UNICEF assistance in September 2017 – January 2018, within the technical project to strengthen the standing Secretariat, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

Based upon the offered support, the CNPDC Secretariat aims to increase its activity quality in ensuring cross-sectoral collaboration for implementation of the National Strategy and key programmes in the field of child and family protection and strengthen the CNPDC structures’ capacity at central and local levels. All similar actions will help in identifying and monitoring issues of the child rights.

Throughout the UNICEF assistance, actions viewed at the CNPDC will be directed towards the protection of children's rights, problems of children left without parental care and the legal framework’s adjustment. So as to identify and coordinate solutions, as well as other circumstances related to violation of children's rights, the CNPDC will carry out a series of documentary visits in localities, like: Briceni, Stefan Voda, Gagauzia, Telenesti, Rezina and Nisporeni, with meetings technical work groups and ensuring transparency and visibility of those activities.

The main goal set by the CNPDC is to strengthen the capacities and efforts of all central and local public authorities, civil society, development partners and every citizen in order to create an optimal environment for growth and harmonious development of all children in Moldova.
