Moldovan deputy foreign affairs minister receives Finnish ambassador

Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii today received Bucharest-based Ambassador of Finland to Moldova Päivi Pohjanheimo, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
The two officials exchanged opinions on aspects concerning the cooperation between the two countries. Thus, the sides evoked the importance of extending the bilateral ties and turning to good account the present potential in the sectors of mutual interest.
At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister Lilian Darii thanked for the assistance provided to Moldova through the Local Cooperation Fund, in such key fields as health, promoting rights of vulnerable groups, backing the freedom of expression and media transparency.
Also, the officials tackled developments in the Transnistrian settlement process in the five-plus-two format.
