Moldovan cabinet rules to earmark 9.5 million lei to remove consequences of natural calamities

Chisinau, 27 September /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today ruled to provide 9.5 million lei to the government’s intervention fund for removing the consequences of the natural calamities, which occurred on the period of April – June 2017, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

Local public authorities from the districts of Cimislia, Drochia, Ungheni and the central public authorities – Interior Ministry and Defence Ministry – will benefit from financial means.   

Thus, settlements from the Cimislia district will receive over three million lei. The participants in the meeting approved also a list of beneficiaries of financial means for the repair of dwellings and the beneficiaries of material aid from the Cimislia town, 159 persons in all. At the same time, the cabinet will allocate1.44 million lei  to the district council and settlements from the Ungheni district and 462,000 lei to the Drochia district council.   

To compensate the transport expenditures born, the Interior Ministry will receive 2.69 million lei, and the Defence Ministry – 1.86 million lei.

The value of the financial means was calculated based on the acts on ascertaining the damage and the spending sheets approved by public authorities.
