Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/- Young people aged 18 years will be incorporated in the military service in October-January, according to a government decision, due to be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 29 September.
Under the document, up to 1,200 young people will be recruited for the military service in the National Army, and up to 581 young people – in Carabineer Troops. At the same time, up to 50 young people will be recruited to achieve short-term military service in the National Army.
Under the decision, most young people will be recruited from Chisinau (225), Hancesti (67), Orhei (67), Ungheni (67), Causeni (65), Cahul (65) and Balti (60).
Incorporating people into military service will be made in stages, according to a schedule worked out by the Defense Ministry and coordinated with Department of Carabineer Troops.
At the same time, the soldiers whose service has expired shall be released and retired.
Also, the issue will comprise the results of the military service in April-July 2017.
According to data by the Defense Ministry, about 1,800 young people were incorporated in the National Army in 2016.
