Chisinau to host 13th world media meeting

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/- The 13th world media meeting will be held in Chisinau on 4-8 October. The event is organized by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and the Association of Bulgarian Media Abroad (ABMA).
Attending the event will be state officials, members of Bulgarian parliament, mayors, public figures, representatives of Bulgarian media working in the country and abroad, as well as journalists from partner news agencies.
The event will be inaugurated by Vice President of Bulgaria Iliana Yotova. Also, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Ekaterina Zaharieva, Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Vulchev, Defense Minister Krasimir Karakachanov, Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova, as well as members of the Bulgarian parliament.
The topic of the forum will be Community Policy. The agenda will focus on issues such as: education, business science, free movement of staff, knowledge and technology, tourism development and role of media in shaping a society where cohesion dominates the division. There will be debates on contemporary changes and development of journalism worldwide.
The additional programme will include a photo exhibition of BTA titled “Born Free”, a visit to Taraclia, as well as other activities.
The World Forum of Bulgarian media has been held since 2005. So far, the meeting took place in Sofia, Chicago, Rome, Madrid, Varna and Burgas, Vienna, Amsterdam and Bucharest, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo, Bosilegrad, Prague.
