Moldovan foreign affairs minister meets Latvian counterpart

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur, on a working visit to Riga, today had a meeting with Latvian Foreign Affairs Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
The two officials made a retrospective of the Moldovan-Latvian relations, discussed prospects for their development and ways to boost the bilateral cooperation, as well as the development of the process of implementing the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union.
The Latvian minister reconfirmed his country’s openness in backing Moldova’s reforms’ process, including through willingness to share the experience gained in this field. In the context, Minister Galbur highly appreciated the development assistance and expertise provided to Moldova by Latvia in carrying out structural reforms.
At the same time, the officials tackled the latest developments in the security sector, both in the world and regionally.
