Moldovan PM conveys congratulatory message on International Day of Older Persons

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip today conveyed a congratulatory message on International Day of Older Persons, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The message reads:
“Dear veterans,
It has become a beautiful tradition as on 1 October to mark International Day of Older Persons, a holiday dedicated to those who wear wisdom and light, and in the soul – traces of life experience.
You, the elderly, represent the standard of wisdom, and your biography is marked by beautiful achievements and dedication to building our land in various fields: science, education, culture, medicine, economics, agriculture, security.
Each of these important areas is based on your hard work and professional dedication. Your active participation in the life of society, preservation of history and traditions of our people, education of young generation in the spirit of unrequited values of dignity, country love, dedication to the profession inspire confidence in a better future.
We ought to show our gratitude and appreciation, to find concrete solutions to improve your living conditions by extending active life based on sustainable social protection policies. To this end, the pension reform has been promoted, and changes for the better are already being felt.
We want to further strengthen the dialogue with the veterans to find out from the first source the difficulties you are facing and to find the best solutions to overcome them. Only by joint efforts we can create a prosperous future of our country.
