13th world meeting of Bulgarian media will have a diverse programme - Bulgarian news agency director says

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/- The 13th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media, due in Chisinau on 4-8 October 2017, will comprise a string of events dedicated to media and diaspora of Bulgaria in Moldova. Director of the Bulgarian news agency BTA Maxim Minchev made the statement in an interview with the State News Agency MOLDPRES.

Minchev said that the official opening of the forum will take place at the National Museum of Moldova. “A photo exhibition by BTA agency will be inaugurated at the event, followed by a visit to Taraclia and a meeting at the State University of this locality. The main topics will focus on: education, culture, mother tongue and bilateral relations”, he said.

The participants in the forum will visit the sights of Moldova and will participate in Wine Day, due on 7 October.

The World Forum of Bulgarian Media has been held since 2005. So far, the meeting took place in Sofia, Chicago, Rome, Madrid, Varna and Burgas, Vienna, Amsterdam and Bucharest, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo, Bosilegrad, Athens and Prague.

In Chisinau the topic of the forum will be Community Policy. There will be debates on contemporary changes and development of journalism worldwide.

The event will be inaugurated by Bulgaria’s Deputy Speaker Iliana Yotova. Attending the event will be also Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva, Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Vulchev, Defense Minister Krasimir Karakachanov, Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova, as well as members of the Bulgarian parliament.
