Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/- The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) will make alliance with any right-wing party that will enter the parliament after the 2018 elections. PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc made the statement, following the weekly meeting of the party.
Plahotniuc noted that in recent days, some parties in Moldova have begun the electoral campaign. “PDM will not enter this electoral debate. Our priority in the coming period is to govern well and deliver meaningful results to people. To clarify the position of PDM, I announce that today we proposed to adopt a resolution at the meeting of the PDM National Political Council, which clearly establishes that PDM will make political alliances with any right-wing party that will pass the electoral threshold”, he said.
The party will not fight with the right-wing parties until the election campaign or during it. “The right ones are not our opponents. PDM will be an adversary for those who will come up with projects aimed at blocking the European path of modernization of the country, cancelling the agreements signed with the EU and other actions that would lead to a change in the direction of the country’s development”, he said.
Also, the PDM leader noted that the primary goal of the party is that “Moldova will have a pro-European governance after the 2018 elections to continue the process of integration into the EU”.
