Moldovan State Chancellery, OSCE Mission organize workshops on preventing, fighting trafficking of human beings

Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/ - The standing secretariat of the national committee on fighting the trafficking of human beings at the State Chancellery organizes, in partnership with the OSCE Mission in Moldova, five regional workshops on exchanging good practices in the prevention and fighting of the trafficking of human beings.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the workshops will be held to strengthen the capacities of the specialists of the institutions in charge of prevention and combating the trafficking of human beings, in order to overcome the difficulties they are facing in their work.
Thus, to identify joint solutions to optimize the activity, representatives of territorial commissions for fighting the trafficking of human beings from Chisinau, Leova, Soroca, Orhei and Singerei will interact with specialists in the field from other Moldovan settlements, representatives of the centre for combating the trafficking of human beings and of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry.
Also, the participants in the workshop will analyze the present situation in Moldova in terms of cooperation between the territorial specialized commissions, territorial multi-disciplinary teams and local NGOs. At the same time, the discussions will be focused on identifying cases of trafficking, way of their reporting, prevention of the domestic trafficking of human beings, especially the begging, as well as the work of the centre for fighting the trafficking of persons.
