Premier affirms Moldova’s future can rely just on strong, efficient educational system

Chisinau, 03 October /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, participated at the festivity dedicated to the Professional Day of Educational Workers and the award ceremony at the Republican Contest "The Teacher of Year 2017" today, where about two thousand teachers were invited from all over Moldova, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
At the beginning of his speech, the Prime Minister congratulated all the educational workers and expressed their respect for efforts in educating new generations of Moldovan citizens. Also, the Head of the Executive wished success to over seven hundred young specialists who started their career in that noble profession in 2017.
"You mark the human destinies and build the society of tomorrow through benevolent attitude, persuasion, but also patience. All it gives to me the joy to send you the most cordial congratulations on the occasion of the professional celebration," said Pavel Filip.
Also, the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers referred to the existing problems in the sector, stressing that the Government, in partnership with the teachers, has been determined to identify solutions to overcome them, including in relation to the state of things in the national economy. "For us the field of education is an absolute priority, we know all the problems that we have confronted with, and I can tell you definitely that the future of Moldova can rely just on a strong and efficient educational system," said the PM.
Attending the event, the Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuc, thanked the teachers and assured that all efforts would be made to perform de-bureaucracy in education, curriculum development and wage increases.
Currently, over thirty eight thousand teachers activate in the educational system of Moldova.
