Moldovan cabinet approves regulation on organization, work of PM's control corps

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a regulation of the organization and work of the prime minister’s control corps. The latter’s limit staff was established at eight staff units, as part of the limit staff of the State Chancellery.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the document regulates the mission, duties, powers, way of organization, competence and legal status of the staff employed within the entity. Under the regulation, the prime minister’s control corps is a structure without legal personality, made up of advisers of the PM. This entity will be led by a chief appointed to office under a decision by the prime minister. At the same time, the advisers of the prime minister’s control corps will have status of staff of the office of the public dignity decision-makers and will fulfill duties of monitoring, assessment, control and optimization of the governance act.  

The setting up of the prime minister’s control corps is one of the new elements stipulated in the law on government, which entered into force on 19 July 2017.  

The entity was created to contribute to the improvement of the process of prime minister taking decisions needed to ensure an efficient work of the authorities/ institutions subordinated to the government.
