Moldovan official journal roundup for 6 October

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/- The law that will facilitate the access of immigrants to work will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 6 October.

The new law will allow the attraction of foreign investments in Moldovan economy. Thus, once the document enters into force, migrant workers will get easier the right to work and stay in our country.

The document sees the possibility to easily get work and residence permits for highly skilled foreign workers, posted workers, officials, employees of companies in the list of investors of national importance and workers whose job is found in the list of priority occupations for the Moldovan labor market.

Once the new law enters into force, deadline for granting the right to work and residence permits for migrant workers will be reduced by more than half. The way of extending the residence and work permit will be simplified, and in order to facilitate the preparation of documents, the applicant will submit the file only to the single window.

The document sets that the amount of employees in the company will have to diminish in favor of domestic employees, so that in five years it will not exceed 50 per cent of total employees.

The government, within three months from the date of publication of the law, will approve the normative documents necessary for implementation of this document.
