Moldova Agroindbank ranks among largest banks in Southeast Europe

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/- Moldova Agroindbank reconfirmed its position and status as the largest and most performing bank in Moldova, and is included in the “TOP 100 SEE” ranking produced annually by the SEE News agency. Moreover, MAIB has advanced three positions as compared to 2015 and ranked 69 among the top 100 largest banks in Southeast Europe.
The ranking was based on an analysis of the performance indicators dynamics achieved by the banks in the region. “TOP 100 SEE” is based on more than 2,500 companies and includes the largest insurance companies, banks and non-financial institutions in Southeast Europe.
Thus, on 31 December 2016, the total assets of Moldova Agroindbank amounted to 945.3 million euros, increasing by 8.31 per cent compared to the end of 2015. The profit was 19.5 million euros.
“The upward trend of performance indicators shows that we have chosen and implemented a fair strategy in the bank’s business with a strong and professional team and loyal customers. We will continue our mission to provide quality and secure services, build long-term partnerships with our customers, promoting transparency in activity and offering innovative products. Our work will certainly be appreciated nationally and internationally”, head of the steering committee Serghei Cebotari said.
Three Moldovan commercial banks were included in “TOP 100 SEE 2016”, with Moldova Agroindbank being the leader among them.
