Joint Control Commission holds meeting in Bender

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/- On 5 October 2017, a new meeting of the Joint Control Commission was held in Bender, which was chaired by the Transnistrian delegation, according to a press release by the Moldovan delegation to JCC.
The agenda of the meeting included two issues: organizational issues and Joint Military Command Report on situation in Security Zone.
At the request of the Transnistrian delegation, the JCC approved a new military observer – Captain Petrov Nicolai, who replaced Lieutenant Colonel Liceacov Alexandr.
On the second issue, the JCC heard and approved the report of the Joint Military Command on situation in Security Zone for 27.09 – 03.10.2017.
At the same time, in the context of approach by Russian Ambassador to Moldova Farit Muhametşin, issued at the 29 June meeting, the head of the Russian delegation to JCC Ilia Uvarov proposed to hold a joint meeting of the JCC co-heads and senior military heads of the parties. The meeting will aim at preparing debates on the arrears of the JCC agenda and consultations on the efficiency of the Joint Military Command and military observers. In this context, the Moldovan delegation insisted that the representatives of Ukraine and OSCE Mission to Moldova participate in this meeting, a proposal unanimously accepted and scheduled for 10 October.
The next meeting of JCC will take place on 12 October 2017.
