Moldovan parliament ratifies agreement on consultancy with International Finance Corporation

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today ratified an agreement on consultancy between the Moldovan government and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), signed on 24 July 2017.
The agreement’s goal is to improve the business climate in the farming sector, enhance the competitiveness of the private sector’s market, in order to increase exports and investments in Moldova. The accord sets that the International Finance Corporation will provide technical assistance and consultancy services worth 3,200,000 dollars to Moldova’s authorities, with a five-per cent government’s contribution and a 100,000-dollar contribution by the Moldova’s Economics Ministry.
Within the agreement, consultancy and assistance will be provided in three fields: improvement of the business environment; strengthening access to market with emphasis on the agro-industrial sector and enhancing the level of investments’ protection.
The government will undertake needed measures to carry out the provisions of the aforementioned agreement.
