Moldovan adopts draft law on ten-per cent increase in salaries to budgetary employees in final reading

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today adopted a draft law providing for a ten-per cent increase in the salaries to the budgetary employees in the final reading.

Under the draft, more than 120,000 employees from institutions of education, culture and art, medical and sanitary institutions, the ones from the sectors of social assistance, physical culture and sport, science and innovation will benefit from the increase. Also, servicemen, policemen, employees of the bodies of national defence, state security and public order, whose remuneration is made based on the single tariff network, will enjoy higher wages as well.

The increase will be made for the education sector employees starting from 1 September 2017 and for the wage earners from other fields – as of 1 January 2018.
