Co-heads of USA - Moldova friendship groups meet in Washington

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - MP, the head of the USA – Moldova parliamentary friendship group George Mocanu, during a visit to Washington, has  had a meeting with the co-head of Congressional Moldova Caucus at the United States Congress, congressman Pete Olson, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.      

The two co-heads of the friendship groups reviewed the present stage of the Moldova-USA relations and tackled subjects on the regional security in the South Eastern Europe, energy security, as well as the stage of the reforms implemented or under implementation.    

In the end of the visit, the head of the USA – Moldova friendship group, lawmaker George Mocanu made an official invitation to the co-head of Congressional Moldova Caucus, congressman Pete Olson to visit Moldova.  

Republican Pete Olson, along with Democrat David Price are the two co-heads, who have recently launched Congressional Moldova Caucus. The goal of the friendship group with Moldova is to create a permanent dialogue for strengthening the relations between Moldova and the United States.
