Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court (CCM) today issued its ruling on a notification submitted by the cabinet concerning the exercising of the interim duties of Moldova’s president in the appointment of a government member. CCM ascertained the institutional blockage triggered by the repeated refusal by President Igor Dodon to appoint the defence minister. The Court issued a note, thereby establishing that the speaker or the prime minister can issue the decree on the appointment of the defence minister and can receive the latter’s oath.
