Moldovan deputy foreign affairs minister meets Swedish, Czech officials in charge of Eastern Partnership

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari today had a meeting with Ambassador-at-large of Sweden for Eastern Partnership Anna Westerholm and Special Representative of the Czech Republic for Eastern Partnership Jana Sindelkova, on a working visit to Moldova, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s media interaction service has reported.
The meeting was focused on discussions on Moldova’s efforts to implement the Association Agreement and priorities of the Moldova-EU cooperation, preparations for the Eastern Partnership Summit, due on 24 November 2017. The deputy foreign affairs minister reiterated Moldova’s priorities and expectations from the Summit.
The sides shared the opinion on the impact of the commitments due to be taken at the Summit on the agenda of development of the Eastern Partnership next years, as well as the importance to deepen the cooperation in the case of associated states with pronounced political ambitions.
The European officials stressed the importance to promote reforms for the good of citizens, strengthen the capacities of strategic communication, as well as deepen the collaboration with the civil society in advancing the priorities on the Eastern Partnership’s platform, set in the perspective of the 2020 year.
