Moldovan deputy premier to attend OSCE Mediterranean Conference in Palermo

Chisinau, 22 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur will attend the OSCE Mediterranean Conference, due on 23-25 October 2017 in Palermo, Italy, MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media relations service has reported.
The event will see debates on pressing issues on migrants and refugees in the Mediterranean region, which are in the EU’s concern.
At the invitation of his Italian counterpart, the Moldovan official will deliver a speech on the impact of migration on developments in European and regional security, within the high political segment of the conference.
Galbur’s participation in the Mediterranean Conference will provide the occasion for the presentation of the national evaluation on the Mobility Partnership, which provides a political framework for cooperation with the EU in the migration sector.
Traditionally, on the sidelines of the meeting, the minister will hold talks with counterparts and other foreign officials in order to strengthen the dialogue between Moldova and its partners.
