Moldovan deputy foreign affairs minister meets diplomatic corps' representatives

Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii today had a meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Chisinau. At the event, Deputy Minister Darii unveiled a pertinent report on Moldova’s initiative regarding the inclusion of an issue on the full withdrawal of the foreign military troops from Moldova on the agenda of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s media interaction serviced, Lilian Darii referred, in particular, to efforts undertaken by the Moldovan diplomacy during more than two decades in order to reach agreements, both bilateral ones in dialogue with Russia and multilateral, especially within OSCE, for the full withdrawal of the Russian troops from Moldova, efforts which, unfortunately, have failed.
The Moldovan official appealed, on behalf of Moldova’s authorities, to all partner and friendly states with a request to back the concerned initiative within the voting procedures, in order to include the aforementioned issue on the agenda of the UN General Assembly.
