Chisinau, 3 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today had a meeting with a group of pupils from the Vasile Alecsandri Theoretical Lyceum from the Colibasi village, southern Cahul district. The pupils came to the government to learn more about how the cabinet is working, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The prime minister told the pupils about the government’s action programme, stressing that special attention was paid to education. Also, Pavel Filip urged the pupils to learn well and get actively involved in the social life.
For their part, the teenagers put more questions to the prime minister. They showed interest in how efficient the government’s reform was, how the salaries were formed and which were the priorities for the reorganization of the local public administration. In the context, Pavel Filip said that, despite the fact that, in the beginning, the reforms were skeptically regarded by the residents, the reforms are aimed at creating good living standards for the citizens.
The pupils also asked about what qualities a young person should have to become a prime minister. “First of all, he/she must be resistant to the political pressure in the society, as well as be able to form a team. One cannot do anything by him/herself. Also, a PM should have good capacities of communication, with the institutions inside the country and the foreign partners,” Pavel Filip said.
In the end, the pupils visited the government building and discussed with employees of the State Chancellery how the cabinet decisions are approved and how documents are coming on the PM’s table to be signed. The young people showed impressed by the visit organized and thanked for discussions.
