Moldovan parliament speaker meets EU Commissioner for Trade

Chisinau, 6 November /MOLDPRES/ – Parliament Speaker, Andrian Candu, said at a meeting with Cecilia Malmstrom, European Commissioner for Trade, that a legislative package leading to elimination of abuses in business environment was to be presented in Parliament very soon, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The Speaker informed upon measures taken by the authorities to facilitate business development and improve investment climate in Moldova. Especially, Andrian Candu spoke about the reduction of the number of entities with control functions, number of permissive acts, diminution of the number of reports submitted by the economic agents, creation of the public service agency (ASP), but also amendments to the labour code. Also, he noted that, in order to implement the promoted reforms and norms in a better mode, in actual session, the MPs focus on parliamentary control by organizing weekly hearings.
At her turn, Cecilia Malmstrom, European Commissioner for Trade, welcomed the political stability and impressive economic growth registered by Moldova.
