Nearly 40 per cent of Moldovans informed from Russian media sources - survey

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/- Over 39 per cent of respondents to the Public Opinion Barometer (BOP) said they are informed from Russian TV shows.

Data shows that TV and radio broadcasts in the country serve as sources of information for 60 per cent of respondents. The same data point out that the PRIME TV channel is a source of information for 57.8 per cent of the country’s people, followed by public TV and Jurnal TV.

Almost half of respondents use the internet daily, including for information. The same survey pointed out that almost 18 per cent of respondents would leave Moldova if they had the opportunity.

The poll was conducted out on a sample of 1,113 persons in 82 Moldovan settlements on 18 November-5 December. The margin of error is 2.8 per cent.
