Moldovan national healthcare insurance company launches info campaign on mode to register with family doctor

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ – The National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) launched today a campaign to inform the population about the rights and obligations of beneficiaries in the compulsory healthcare insurance system. The action is supported by the Ministry of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection and will be held until 31 March 2018.
The Minister of Health, Labour and Social Protection, Stela Grigoras, mentioned during the campaign launching event that the action has aimed to increase the level of info of the citizens regarding the registration/change of the family doctor and the primary medical institution.
Throughout the campaign, citizens will be informed through spots, leaflets, and info material about changing their family doctor and primary healthcare provider throughout the year, six months after the recent change or registration. In case the person establishes his/her place of living in another locality, including in another sector of Chisinau municipality, change of doctor and medical institution takes place immediately.
The CNAM’s data indicate that, on a monthly basis, around 5,000 Moldovans file applications for change of family doctors and half of them are deposited in Chisinau municipality.
