Moldovan parliament adopts state social insurances budget for 2018 in final reading

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ – The Parliament voted today in final reading the draft Law on state social insurance budget for 2018 and draft of Law on the mandatory healthcare insurance funds for 2018.
According to the State Social Insurance Budget Act 2018, the estimated revenues for 2018 amount up to MDL 19 bln. 247 mln. 518.1 thousand, with an increase of MDL 1 billion. 733 mln. 754.6 thousand compared to 2017.
As such, general resources of state social insurance budget will be 65.2 per cent and transfers from state budget – 34.8 per cent. As for state social insurance contributions, MDL 12 bln. 546 mln., with an increase of 10.0 per cent compared to amount of approved contributions for 2017.
According to the document, there will also be kept reductions to pay medical insurance policy in 2018, not being expensive. Only 50 per cent of the cost of policy will be paid if it is purchased in the first three months of 2018, farmers will benefit from a 75 per cent reduction.
The Draft Law on Mandatory Healthcare Insurance Funds for 2018 provides for revenues of MDL 6 billion 659 mln. and expenses are provided the same amount in the amount of MDL 6 billion. 659 mln. Compared to 2017, it is forecast that revenues of mandatory healthcare insurance funds will increase by 8.4 per cent and expenditure by 6.8 per cent.
