Winter conditions on national roads in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/- The national roads in the country run under winter conditions, and 224 technical units and 345 people were trained for snow cleansing and spreading of anti-skidding material in the last hours. The statement was made today by the State Road Administration.

Four heavy trucks due to snow remained blocked on the slope and were towed on the Chisinau-Leuseni, Chisinau-Orhei routes.

According to the data by the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, 17 localities from 7 districts of the country remained partially disconnected from electricity by 06:00 today.

Settlements in Criuleni, Nisporeni, Ungheni, Cimișlia, Leova, Cahul, Basarabeasca and Gagauzia were disconnected from electricity too. Specialized teams were involved in reconnection work.

Also today, the capital’s management announced that roads in the municipality are cleaned and municipal employees are involved in cleaning stations and block entrances.

The Chisinau Airport Information Service announced that due to unfavorable weather conditions in Russia, the Moscow-Chisinau aircraft took off from Sheremetevo Airport an hour late.

Delays in bus and minibus routes have not been recorded.

Meteorologists announce that this week the air temperatures will reach +3 degrees during the day and will go down in the north to -9 degrees at night. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday snow is expected to fall all over the country.
