Prices for 320 medicines decrease by ten per cent in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (AMDM) today informed that it had registered about 320 names of medicines at lower producer prices in December.

According to AMDM’s data, the medicines’ prices dropped by 9.37 per cent in Moldovan lei against the ones earlier approved in the National Prices’ Register. Almost 75 per cent of the pharmaceutical preparations are of European origin, about 18 per cent are from the area of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), 4.5 per cent are made in Moldova and another 2.8 per cent are imported from other countries.

According to the Agency, out of all medication, the prices for 35 pharmaceutical preparations were recorded by AMDM for the first time ever in Moldova.

The medicines registered at low producer prices have bactericidal, antiseptic, disinfecting, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-parasitic, bronchodilatatory actions.
