Moldovan government decides to conduct early 2018 next stages of pension revaluation

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/- The government decided to carry out in advance the following stages of revaluation of old-age and disability pensions established in 2012-31 March 2017. Thus, starting from 1 April 2018, next stage of revaluation of the two types of pensions in 2012-2013 will be carried out, and from 1 October 2018 – for those set in 2014-31 March 2017. These stages were intended initially on 1 April 2019 and respectively, 1 April 2020.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, next year 130,746 old-age pension beneficiaries will get the anticipated revaluation, which will mean an average increase of more than 300 lei per month. For 21,264 beneficiaries of disability pensions, the increase will exceed 280 lei per month.
Also, the draft law approved today by the government includes granting of the right to retirement pension on advantageous terms. In this respect, people must have a minimum 10-year-internship for men and women at workplaces given the special conditions, with a full contribution period.
