Moldovan government to subsidize job creation

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/- The cabinet today approved a Regulation on subsidizing the creation of new jobs. According to the authors, its implementation will boost economic agents to create jobs and will have a positive effect on national economy, including economically and socially. This will increase the employment rate of people, which will stop the migration phenomenon.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the subsidy for a job is 40,000 lei for 2018. The money will be paid in two installments during two years. The financial means required for this purpose are provided in the medium-term budgetary framework.

The criteria for eligibility for the subsidy include: increasing the number of employees by at least 100 persons who are part of the subject of the grant, the average monthly salary at enterprise for employees, subject to the grant, not to be less than 75 per cent of average monthly wage per economy, on the last day of the month of the fiscal year, which the grant is applied for, the economic agent must not have arrears at payment of taxes to the national public budget.

The Regulation was worked out on the basis of the Law on state aid and implementation of the action plan on attracting investment and promoting exports for 2016-2020.
