European integration means direct benefits for every citizen - Moldovan PM says

Chisinau, 5 January /MOLDPRES/- The EU is more than a political speech, it is development, a source of opportunities, and the stake for the 2018 election year is keeping the right direction for the country and continuation of reforms. Prime Minister Pavel Filip made the statement in an exclusive interview for MOLDPRES Agency.

According to the official, there will be politicians who will try to convince citizens that things are different, but the stake is keeping the right direction for the country and continuation of reforms. “I want stability and development for Moldova, I want prosperity for its citizens, and not Maidan scenarios. It is our responsibility, of all those who believe in a part of the European family, Moldova, regardless of our position, to ensure that the parliamentary elections will be not a source of uncertainty, but progress”, he said.

He pointed out that the government wants a normal relationship with Moscow. “We are open to political dialogue, but it must start from mutual respect. The time of spheres of influence has passed, Moldovan citizens are independent and free to make their own decisions”, he said.
