Molovata customs checkpoint ceases activity due to fog

Chisinau, 5 January /MOLDPRES/- Moldovata customs post has temporarily stopped work due to dense fog that does not allow the ferry to cross the Dniestre river.

At the same time, the traffic was also stopped by the Cosauti customs post due to the high water level.

Spokeswoman of the Customs Service Cristina Rau noted that during the suspension of the traffic through the two checkpoints, people can opt for other internal customs control posts, such as: „Criuleni”, „Vadul lui Vodă”, „Gura Bâcului” and „Hagimus”.  “Those who intend to cross the Cosauti checkpoint, can opt for the Soroca customs post”, she said.

The head of the weather forecasts centre of the State Hydrometeorological Service, Ghenadie Rosca, said that the fog will completely disperse during the day. “We will also have fog in the night and morning of Saturday and Sunday this week”, Rosca said.
