Chisinau, 6 January /MOLDPRES/ - Two wharf-type customs checkpoints Molovata and Cosauti resumed working today.
According to the Customs Service, there are further possible disturbances in the time table of ferries’ movement across the Dniester river.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the spokeswoman for the Customs Service, Cristina Rau, said that, if the movement was suspended at the two crossing points, people may opt for other internal customs checkpoints, placed nearby. “The checkpoints Criuleni, Vadul lui Voda, Gura Bacului and Hagimus are nearby the Molovata crossing point. Citizens intending to cross the Cosauti customs checkpoint may opt for the Soroca one,” Cristina Rau said.
The Molovata wharf-type customs checkpoint on 5 January temporarily ceased working because of the thick fog which did not allow ferry’s movement across the Dniester. On 5 January, the movement was stopped also at the Cosauti customs checkpoint, because of the high water level.
According to data by the State Hydrometeorological Service, fog will maintain at night and in the morning on 7 January.
