Nominated ministers to take oath of investiture on 10 January

Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/- Nominated ministers will take the oath of investiture on 10 January 2018. The decrees are to be signed by Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, temporarily acting as president of the country, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

Also, the Moldovan acting president will promulgate the law amending and supplementing the Audiovisual Code, reviewed by the parliament on 22 December 2017.

The event will take place at the state residence at 10:00.

The deliberate refusal of the president to fulfill his constitutional obligation to appoint new members of government on a repeated proposal by the premier, and the refusal to enact a law for which parliament reconfirmed the vote represent a violation of constitutional obligations of the head of state, established by the Constitutional Court.

The Constitutional Court has found the circumstances justifying the interim office of president for promulgation of a law on 5 January 2018, and for the government reshuffle on 2 January 2018.
